Making Reservation

How to reserve a hotel room with Think2Travel?

Please select your desired hotel from our website, check on rate and hotel details and simply hit the "Book" button. Complete your personal details and credit card information to confirm your booking. We normally reply to all requests within 24 to 48 hours (this time may be longer during high season, weekends, festival periods or special events).

Why do you need my credit card details to make the booking?

Think2Travel needs your credit card detail to secure the room accommodation for you. Once you booking is confirmed we will charge your credit card and send you a valid hotel check in voucher.

Your credit card will be charged by Absolute Travel Solution Co., Ltd, the company managing all credit card transactions for Think2Travel.com. If you have any questions regarding charges to your credit card, please contact our customer service agent.

How long does it take to get the room confirmation?

After submitting your request to us, we aim to confirm your booking within 24 to 48 hours except for special cases (during festival periods, weekends, high season, or special events...)

Can I reserve a room with the hotel directly?

The discount rates listed are only available through our service. If you wish to book with the hotel you may need to contact them personally at the higher room rate.

Can I make a reservation for someone else or if the credit card holder is not a guest?

Yes, when completing the booking request, the guest details should be the person staying at the hotel and the same person who owns the credit card.

In case that the guest and the credit card holder is not the same person we may request additional information (photocopies of actual credit card and signed passport) for verification, as part of our credit card security procedures. The request for this will be sent to you via email. If this additional information is not provided we reserve the right to cancel the booking and release any credit card pre-authorization. This is a part of our Fraud Protection program identifies a high-risk transaction.

What is your cancellation policy for hotel reservation?

For our standard policy for any cancellation or amendment requested is 15 days or more prior to your arrival, no penalty for the cancellation or amendment.

However please be well noted that cancellation policies vary according to each hotel's terms which is different accordingly to their destinations and seasons. Our reservation team will inform you and your customer to accept the hotel's terms before proceed the booking as always.

What do I need to check in at the hotel?

Once your booking is confirmed we will send a valid hotel check in voucher to your submitted email address. Please present this voucher upon your check in. If you have an uncomfortable situation while checking in please contact our customer service agent immediately.

The hotel has no record of my reservation?

If you contact a hotel directly regarding your booking they may not have any record of your booking. This is because we book hotels via a number of different hotel suppliers. These suppliers are often allocated rooms by hotels.

The room booking details including guest names are sent to hotels by our suppliers 7 days before check in. Please note that this is a standard procedure of online hotel reservation at the special rate.

Rate and Billing

How can I pay for my booking?

1. Credit Card

Pay by credit card through our secure payment system on the website. We accept AMEX, Visa Card, Master Card and JCB.

Please note:
When you submit your payment, we will only pre-authorize your credit card to ensure the sufficient funds are available for the reservation you make and we will not charge any unless we receive the hotel's confirmation letter. We will accordingly charge your credit card once we confirm the booking with the hotel and send you a hotel voucher immediately.

Remark:

All bank surcharges must be paid by your own responsibility. Please kindly acknowledge transferring the full amount without deduction for any external surcharges.
Bank transfer option is apply for booking which made at least 7 days prior to check in only for travel agency in Thailand and at least 14 days prior to check in for other.
In any refund case by bank transfer, All bank surcharges or bank fees must be paid by your own responsibility. Bank fee will deduct from the refund amount automatically.

Are the rates at Think2Travel per room or per person per night?

The room rates shown are per room per night, NOT per person. Please also note that our rate is INCLUSIVE of taxes and service charge. Please click the "BOOK" button to proceed your reservation.

What card can I use to make the hotel reservation?

We accept payment by VISA, MasterCard, AMEX and JCB credit cards. We are unable to accept bank debit cards at the moment.

Are the rates the same for everyone?

Rates displayed by us may be subject to change depending on nationality. Please note that some hotels apply different rate for local residents and some nationalities. Therefore, the hotel shall have the right to refuse OR reject the guests upon check-in if the guests are found to be local residents and may be liable to pay a walk-in rate supplement upon check-in.

Why is the rate different to when I last checked?

Please note that rate can change due to room availability, market conditions, the prices are shown in the currency requested by the user and these are subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Our rates are fixed and will not change once you have paid for your booking, unless you wish us to amend your paid booking.

When will my credit card be charged?

When we receive your credit card detail we will pre-authorize your credit card. This is to make sure that you have room accommodation secure. Once your booking is confirmed we will then charge your credit card and the valid hotel check in voucher will be sent to your submitted email address.

Please note that if your reservation is not available we will not charge any fee to your credit card.

Is there any fee using our online hotel reservation?

Using our online hotel reservation is absolutely free. You will only have to pay for your room reservation.

Why do you need to obtain pre-authorized from my credit card issuer?

This will reserve fund from your credit card account and to reduce fraud. Pre-authorization, which is also known as "shadowing", reserves the funds we have pre-authorized from your credit card account. No funds will have left your account but your card issuer will allocate funds from your credit card account for the reserved amount.

We will only charge and remove funds from your credit card account once we have confirmed your booking.

If we are unable to confirm your booking, no funds will be taken from your credit card account. We will then automatically cancel the pre-authorization. However, depending on the card issuer bank, this may take time to be reflected in the card holder’s account.

Credit card issuers do not have standard automatic pre-authorization times, but typically this is about one week.

When will I receive my refund?

The refund process normally takes between 7-21 days. We will submit your refund details to our bank. Our bank will then instruct your credit card issuer to refund your account.

Can I receive an invoice (tax receipt) for my booking?

Yes, please contact our customer service agent if you require this document. We will then issue an invoice under the name and address provided at the time of making payment, and send it to you by post or email.

In what currency will I be charged?

Please note that our office is based in Bangkok, Thailand thus your credit card will be charged in Thai Bath only as per the policies of Local Bank. The rates shown in display currency are only for the reference.

Think2Travel.com shall not be liable for, or responsible for any foreign exchange rate risk(The exchange rate movements and rate fluctuations) in converting the charge amount to your local currency.

Why are your exchange rate calculations different than mine?

The exchange rates used in Thailand and outside are different. This is due to the policy of Bank of Thailand. We do not gain any benefit from this differences.

Is my credit card information secure?

We use Secure Socket Layers (SSL) to ensure the privacy of the information provided to us. At no time are your debit/credit card details transmitted unencrypted over the internet.

What type of room am I making reservation with?

Single Room

A single room is designed to accommodate one person only. The room contains one single bed or twin bed.

Double Room

A double room is designed to accommodate two people only. The room contains one queen bed or king size bed or if not available a twin bed.

Twin Room

A twin room is also designed to accommodate two people only. The room contains two single beds or if not available a king size bed.

Triple Room

A triple room is designed to accommodate three people only. The room contains 3 single beds or if not available a queen size bed and a single bed.

Quad Room

A quad room is designed to accommodate four people only. The room will contain either:

Two queen beds
One queen and two single beds
Four single beds

Run of the house or Run of house

This is normally standard room provided by the hotel but if the standard room is not available you may be arranged to the higher room categories.

Children Policy

Please note that normally children under 12 years old of age stays for free in their parent’s room using the extra bed. The age requirement differs depending on the specific hotel's policy. Children more than 12 years old are considered as an adult by the hotel industry. Normal charges will apply for both room and breakfast. You will be notified of any additional costs resulting from individual hotel policies regarding children staying with parents and age range allowed. Infants are usually defined as under 2 years old and do not come under the same restrictions. Please let us know if you require a baby cot for your infant. Kindly be advised that hotels reserve the right to verify the legal age of children.

Will the photograph of the room be the room that I receive?

Please be aware that room size, design, fixtures, furnishings and facilities may vary from those shown on the photographs.

What are check in and check out time?

The standard check in time of the hotel is at 14.00 o’clock and the check out time is before noon or 12.00 o’clock. If you expect to arrive earlier than the check in time stated on the accommodation report or late in the evening, please contact our customer services team so we can inform the hotel.

We cannot guarantee that you will be allowed to check into your room earlier than the check-in time stipulated on the accommodation report. Most hotels will charge you directly for an early check-in.

Please also note that if you check out later than the check-out time stipulate on the accommodation report. Most hotels will charge you directly for a late check-out fee. This is varied from 50% of the room rate cost up to 1 night charge.
